Day 4
Dr. Joel Rothaizer
Applying the Power of Polarity Thinking to the Enneagram
You will learn...
Why every Enneagram "weakness" is actually one pole of an essential tension — and what it looks like to live well in the middle of it.
Why the thing you most value is exactly what you lose when you over-privilege it — and how a polarity map makes that paradox impossible to ignore.
How to identify the fear underneath your bias — because that fear, not the behavior, is where real change actually begins.

Dr. Rothaizer is an organizational consultant, executive coach and leadership development specialist.
He is Board Certified in Organizational & Business Consulting Psychology, and a Master Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation.
He has been using the Enneagram intensively for more than 30 years, and is certified by two of the major Enneagram schools.

The Mindful Enneagram
You will learn...
Whether your type asserts, withdraws, or complies — and why that single distinction explains exactly why sitting with discomfort is so hard for you specifically.
Why real mindfulness is de-hypnosis, not relaxation — and what the third, rarely taught level of practice actually does.
Why the most transformative mindfulness happens relationally — and how meditating out loud with another person accelerates what solo practice cannot reach.

Rob is a teacher, coach, and writer, who has taught mindfulness meditation, the Enneagram, and other spiritually transformational practices for over two decades. He coaches individuals and groups and teaches “The Mindful Enneagram," a ten-week online course that integrates in-depth mindfulness practices with the Enneagram to help each person find their own particular path to a mindfulness practice that awakens the deepest potential of their body, heart, and mind. Rob is currently writing a book based on his on-line course. See his website at: www.mindful-enneagram.com.
Rob has worked with many spiritual practices for over 45 years, concentrating on mindfulness meditation in the Vipassana tradition, the Enneagram, interpersonal mindful inquiry, and the Fourth Way. Among his primary teachers are Adyashanti, Pierre Elliot, Tara Brach, James Baraz, Beatrice Chestnut, Uranio Paes, Russ Hudson, and Cynthia Bourgeault.
Rob is a founding member and senior teacher with the Insight Meditation Community of Washington (IMCW.org), teaching meditation for 22 years. He is a certified Enneagram teacher and has taught Enneagram courses, groups and students for 13 years.
Rob has extensive experience in introducing individual and interpersonal mindfulness meditation, the Enneagram, coming of age programs, and other developmental approaches into many diverse settings, including businesses, non-profits, government, schools, and churches. He is the co-founder of the Meditation Community of Herndon/Reston and works one-on-one and with regular meditation groups, classes, and retreats in Northern Virginia and online through IMCW and Banyan Together.

Kathy Jankowski
The Enneagram and Qigong: Restoring Balance for Those Who Serve Others
You will learn...
How every Enneagram type has a signature way of constricting — and how that contraction is literally a movement of energy away from your essential self that your body can feel, recognize, and interrupt.
Why each of the three Enneagram centers needs a different restoration strategy — belly and vitality for 4s, 5s, and 9s; quiet receptive mind for 1s, 2s, and 6s; and protected heart for 3s, 7s, and 8s — and how to access each in real time.
How Qigong builds the neurological "musculature" that makes Enneagram insights stick — so that the space between stimulus and response becomes not just a pause, but a source of power and genuine choice.

Kathy Jankowski helps people embrace their lives with vitality, balance, and inner guidance through Qigong, breathwork, nervous system regulation, and the Enneagram.
Rooted in the Riso-Hudson Enneagram tradition, she brings more than 25 years of experience supporting psychological, spiritual, and embodied growth.
She is especially known for her innovative work with the Enneagram’s Instincts and Levels of Development, extending the system in practical new ways that support deep and lasting transformation.
Kathy is a certified Robert Peng Qigong trainer and a Level 3 Breath-Body-Mind certified breath coach whose work bridges ancient energy practices with contemporary approaches to resilience and flourishing.
